ABOUT - DR. SUHAIL AHMED.M

DR. SUHAIL AHMED.M. Is a Consultant Surgeon with over 10 years of Surgical Experience. He completed his MBBS for a reputed Institute in Chennai. Following Completion of his MBBS, he developed a special Interest in Surgical Specialities and Joined the Prestigious Southern Railways Hospital, Chennai where he trained in various specialities of Surgery. During his period in Railway Hospital, he got the opportunity to interact with International faculties from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He simultaneously got his Membership in Royal College of Surgeons ( MRCS) accepted. He found special Interest in General & Minimal Access Surgery.He trained at World Laparoscopy Hospital in Laparoscopic ( Key hole) surgeries and Robotic Surgeries. He is the member of the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS), a prestigious organization with entry into the world of advanced key hole surgeries.

  • He is now working on cost effective treatment for Cancer diseases with his team of Medical and Radiation Oncologists. He continues to perform open and Laparoscopic ( Key hole) Surgeries for both cancer and non cancer diseases . He performs surgeries of diseases in oral cavity, Thyroid, Breast, Stomach, Appendix, intestines, Colorectum, uterus and ovaries. His area of Special interest is on Cancer awareness and Cancer prevention. He is working in lines of providing affordable cancer care to all strata of society.

  • Following this in 2014, he was conferred the Fellow of International College of Robotic Surgeons (FICRS) after training for various surgeries in using an operating Robot. He is also a distinguished member of the Society of American Gastro Intestinal & Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) which is one of the highest organizations for advanced gastroenterological managements.
  • He is a doctorate degree holder in the field of Surgical Gastroenterology from the University of Chicago which was conferred in he year 2016. He extended his Spectrum of work into Cancer diseases and worked with some of best Oncology faculty of National and International repute. He worked at Apollo Cancer centre, Chennai which is a centre of Excellence in the field of Cancer treatment where he assisted and performed major Cancer Surgeries of both Open , Laparoscopic ( key hole) and Robotic routes.
